SAYA MUDAH LUPA

Setelah memberi 11 sebab dalam blognya,kenapa beliau tidak hadir pada perhimpunan umno,akhirnya di saat-saat majlis penutup Che Det hadir juga di PWTC.Apa pula 11 sebab yang menyebabkan beliau hadir? Saya tidak dapat memberikan sebab-sebab tersebut kerana saya orang melayu.Saya mudah lupa.

Tanyalah pada Che Det.Kata Che Det dalam blognya,"Saya rasa diri saya akan tercemar jika saya berada dalam majlis yang disertai oleh orang yang mendukung amalan rasuah."Katanya lagi,"Perbuatan merestui rasuah adalah satu pengkhianatan kepada bangsa Melayu dan negara Malaysia."

Sehari selepas beliau menyiarkan sebab-sebab kenapa beliau tidak hadir maka semalam kita dapat saksikan adegan pengkhianatan kepada kata-katanya.Beliau telah hadir di perhimpunan pertubuhan yang bergelumang dengan rasuah itu.Maka dengan sendirinya Tun Mahathir telah mencemarkan dirinya kerana berada di majlis yang disertai oleh orang yang mendukung amalan rasuah.Samada beliau merestuinya dengan menghadirkan diri,kita tidak tahu.Hanya beliau yang tahu.Mungkin Che Det berpegang kepada kata-katanya.Melayu mudah lupa.Tiada siapa akan ingat kata-katanya sehari sebelum tu.

1. Ramai kenalan saya yang fikir saya tidak hadir pembukaan mesyuarat Perhimpunan Agung UMNO kerana anak saya Mukhriz kalah pertandingan Ketua Pemuda.

2. Memanglah saya terasa sedih kerananya.

3. Tetapi sebab yang sebenar saya tidak hadir ialah oleh kerana Pemuda UMNO secara langsung dan terbuka merestui politik rasuah.

4. Mereka memilih sebagai ketua mereka seorang yang telah didapati bersalah menggunakan wang dan sogokan dalam usahanya untuk dipilih sebagai Ketua Pemuda. Samada dia dibenar bertanding atau tidak, tidak menidakkan dianya adalah perasuah.

5. Hukuman yang dijatuhkan kepada orang ini tidak setimpal dan adil kerana orang lain yang didapati bersalah sama sepertinya tidak dibenar bertanding.

6. Tidak pernah terjadi orang yang dikenali dan diakui umum sebagai perasuah oleh Lembaga Disiplin, oleh parti dan oleh orang ramai dipilih dan dijunjung tinggi sebagai ketua. Tetapi inilah yang dilakukan oleh Pemuda UMNO yang dahulu terkenal sebagai barisan hadapan dalam perjuangan UMNO.

7. Pemuda telah merosakkan imej UMNO dan imej orang Melayu sendiri. Rupa-rupanya duit lebih utama daripada bangsa dan negara. Apakah rakyat akan terima dipimpin oleh tokoh rasuah yang terkenal? Perbuatan merestui rasuah adalah satu pengkhianatan kepada bangsa Melayu dan negara Malaysia.

8. Juga saya hairan kenapa untuk mengira hanya 790 undi mengambil masa lebih dari enam jam?

9. Apakah pengira undi tidak tahu kira? Atau apakah sesuatu sudah diusahakan untuk menjayakan menantu Perdana Menteri. Ini menjadi soalan bukan daripada saya seorang tetapi oleh semua orang ramai. Tak usahlah Perdana Menteri bercakap berkenaan dengan menolak rasuah kerana menantu yang perasuah diberi keistimewaan luar biasa.

10. Ini juga menghakiskan lagi kepercayaan rakyat kepada UMNO.

11. Inilah sebab-sebabnya saya tidak hadir. Saya rasa diri saya akan tercemar jika saya berada dalam majlis yang disertai oleh orang yang mendukung amalan rasuah.

Pertandingan 15 penjuru, DUN Bukit Selambau cipta sejarah

Pilihan raya kecil Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Bukit Selambau menyaksikan pertandingan 15 penjuru membabitkan calon Barisan Nasional (BN), Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) dan 13 calon Bebas, paling ramai dalam sejarah pilihan raya negara.

Tiada pencalonan ditolak walaupun Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) menerima sembilan bantahan sehingga tempoh bantahan tamat pada jam 11 pagi tadi.

Calon BN ialah Datuk S Ganeson manakala calon PKR ialah S Manikumar.

Step-dad held over sex abuses

PETALING JAYA: A man has been arrested after his three stepdaughters ran away from home and alleged that he sexually abused them for a year.

The three sisters, aged 20, 16 and 14, ran away to their grandmother’s house nearby and told their 38-year-old mother what had happened.

A police report was lodged on Tuesday. Police picked up the stepfather hours later.

Petaling Jaya police chief Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohammed said the sisters alleged that their 35-year-old stepfather had sexually abused them on several occasions at their apartment home in Flora Damansara.

He said the girls claimed they did not come forward earlier because they were afraid of the man.
It is learnt that the stepfather has seven children from another marriage, while the woman has the three daughters and son.

He had been married to the sisters’ mother for 10 years.

13-Year-Old Alfie Is NOT the Father

We couldn't believe the news that 13-year-old Alfie Patten was the father of a newborn last month, and it turns out that impulse may have been founded in reality. After two boys challenged the paternity of little Maisie Roxanne, DNA tests were performed and the truth was revealed: Chantelle Stedman, the 14-year-old mother of the child, had lied about the paternity.

Well, more accurately, her mother had her lie about her virginity so that Alfie would be perceived as the father of the baby. At the time the initial challenge was made, Alfie jumped to defend Chantelle saying, "I am the only boyfriend Chantelle's had - and we've been together for two years. I must be the dad."

It's a tragic situation all around. Alfie is reportedly "devastated" by the results and, one would think, the revelation of the betrayal by his girlfriend. His mother has said, "It had not even crossed Alfie's mind whether Chantelle had not been faithful to him. He's absolutely devastated that these lads say they slept with her."

Here's hoping all the kids involved get the support they need to make it through this very public paternity case.

No cut in power during Earth Hour, says TNB

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) will continue to supply electricity during Earth Hour tomorrow.

Its president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh said some TNB consumers had thought that power supply would not be available during Earth Hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.

“We received numerous calls from concerned customers enquiring whether electricity supply would be turned off this Saturday,” he said in a statement yesterday.

He said although TNB would not be shutting down operations during Earth Hour, the corporation was nevertheless in support of the event.

Earth Hour is an annual event that World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) started in Sydney in 2007 to get households and businesses to turn off non-essential lights for an hour to raise awareness on climate change. So far, 2,848 cities, towns and municipalities in 84 countries have pledged support for Earth Hour 2009.

On the local front, they included the Government, various non-governmental organisations, corporations and landmarks such as KL Tower, Petronas Twin Towers and Penang Bridge.
The event aims to demonstrate unprecedented solidarity and provide a visual global mandate that will put the heat on world leaders meeting at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December to write and possibly sign a follow-up agreement to the Kyoto Treaty

Baby dies, drunk parents forgot to feed him

MIRI: A baby boy, less than a month old, starved to death after his parents allegedly forgot to feed him because they were too drunk.

The baby died in the intensive-care unit of Miri Hospital yesterday morning and a police report has been lodged.

Police now want to question the parents, in their early 30s from a longhouse in southern Sarawak, who came to Miri to work and were renting a house at a low-cost housing scheme near the Sarawak-Brunei High­way, some 12km north of the city centre.

Relatives found the baby unconscious in the house and rushed him to the hospital at about 3am on Wednesday.

Miri deputy OCPD Supt Ismail Paduka Idris confirmed that the baby died in the morning.
“We are investigating claims that the parents had indulged in a prolonged drinking spree and had neglected the baby.
“Initial investigations show that the baby might have been so severely neglected that he suffered fatal consequences.
“We want to find out whether this was due to carelessness,” Supt Ismail said.
The couple also have a three-year-old daughter.

Gangs recruiting sports schools girls for crime

KLUANG: Two out of the 12 suspects arrested after police evacuated 14 residents in Taman Muhibah are Bandar Penawar Sports School students.

The girls, aged 15 and 16, who are athletes, are believed to have been recruited by the gang to commit crimes in Johor, Malacca and Negri Sembilan.

On Monday, seven suspects involved in multiple robberies and rapes in three states were finally caught after police conducted a thorough search of 14 homes in Taman Muhibah here.
Police also picked up three women aged 18, 19, and 20, who are married to three of the suspects as well as the two minors.

Johor deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm I Datuk Jalaluddin Ab Rahman said the students got to know the gang members and were coaxed into joining them.

“The suspects, who are from Selangor, move from one state to another to conduct robberies and other heinous crimes.
“They are believed to be responsible for more than 22 cases,” he told newsmen here yesterday.
He added that the gang had been active for the past six months.
“The suspects brought along their wives to make it seem they were regular families to avoid suspicion,” he said.

He also commended the public for their tip off which led to the arrest and urged anyone with information to contact the police hotline at 07-2212999 or the nearest police station.
In Malacca, police detained two men after car chases at Jalan Tengkera and Jalan Datuk Wira Poh Ah Tiam (Lorong Pandan) on Tuesday morning.

The men, aged 24 and 27, were caught after their car skidded and crashed into a construction site.

They were unhurt and managed to get out of the car, but were caught by the police later.
State narcotics department head Supt Jaafar Mat said they found a packet of syabu weighing 3.8gm, RM732 and 3,500 Indonesian rupiah.

He said police also seized a car which was reported stolen in Kajang.

Rape victim’s body found hanged from durian tree

KUALA KUBU BARU: The body of a woman, believed to be a rape victim, was found hanged from a durian tree in Sungei Choh near here. She was clad only in her underwear.

The body was found by passers-by at 7.50am. The woman had a rope tied round her neck and the other end tied to a branch of the tree behind a petrol station. Her legs were tied and her feet were touching the ground.

She was clad only in a white bra and a maroon panties. Hulu Selangor deputy OCPD Supt Bakhtiar Rashid said police believe the victim could have been murdered elsewhere before the body was hanged from the branch.

He said police believe there was a struggle between the victim and her assailant as there were strangulation marks on her neck and bruises on her body,

Supt Bakhtiar also said police believe the victim was raped before she was killed hours before the body was found.

“No identification document was found on her. We are unsure about the victim’s race but initial checks indicate that she might be a foreigner,” he added.

Bakhtiar urged those with information to contact the Hulu Selangor police station at 03-6064 2222.

Fairus quits as Penang Deputy CM 1

GEORGETOWN: Penang Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin has submitted his resignation and it has been accepted, said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

The effective resignation date is April 8, Lim said at a press conference.

Lim declined to disclose reasons but said that Fairus will continue as Penanti assemblyman and will be on leave till April 8.

Esok 17.3.2009, Ahli Parlimen Bukit Gelugor Karpal Singh akan didakwa di bawah Akta Hasutan di Mahkamah Sesyen Jalan Duta manakala anaknya pula, Ahli Parlimen Puchong Gobind Singh telah diluluskan usul oleh Dewan Rakyat menggantung Beliau selama 12 bulan serta pada masa penggantungannya itu tidak akan menerima sebarang bayaran elaun dan kemudahan sebagai seorang ahli Parlimen.

Usul berkenaan yang dibentangkan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz sebelum itu dibahaskan selama hampir sejam.

Ketika Yang Dipertua Dewan Rakyat, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia menjalankan proses pengundian, semua anggota pembangkang bertindak keluar Dewan.

Akhirnya usul berkenaan diluluskan secara sebulat suara.

Dalam usul yang dibentangkan Nazri, Gobind perlu dikenakan tindakan tersebut berikutan kenyataannya mendakwa Timbalan Perdana Menteri terlibat dalam kes pembunuhan selain beliau juga mengeluarkan kenyataan yang menghina Timbalan Yang Dipertua Dewan Rakyat.

Kenyataan Gobind itu merupakan satu dakwaan yang sangat serius dan menyalahi hak dan keistimewaan sebagai ahli Parlimen serta merupakan satu penghinaan kepada Dewan.

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 Mac (Hrkh) - Dewan Rakyat kelmarin menjadi sedikit 'riuh' apabila diberitahu bahawa gaji Pengerusi Syabas Tan Sri Razali Ismail sejumlah RM5.1 juta setahun.

Perkara ini diungkap kembali oleh Ahli Parlimen Permatang Pauh Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim ketika membahaskan rang undang-undang perbekalan tambahan 2009 yang dalam masa yang sama menjawab soalan Ahli Parlimen Titiwangsa Dr. Lo' Lo' Ghazali berhubung gaji dan elaun pengurus atau pengarah GLC.

"Apa dan mengapa nak dirahsiakan gaji GLC ini? Gaji syarikat boleh dibuka. Oleh sebab itu seperti mana yang saya sebutkan tadi, keadaan di Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor bila tanggungan begitu bila sudah naikkan beban bagi rakyat, baru kita tahu rupa-rupanya pengurusnya RM5.1 juta.

"Itu basic belum lagi elaun-elaun tambahan. Ini keterlaluan kalau dibiarkan keadaan begitu," kata Anwar.
